BRC Realisation & Export Compliance Deadline Tracking

One dashboard for every export deadline: BRCs pending realisation, shipping bills not yet filed, deliveries overdue or due this week, and government incentives still receivable — so nothing quietly holds up a refund.

A Bank Realisation Certificate (BRC), now issued electronically as an eBRC, is the proof that the export proceeds for a shipping bill have reached India. Without it, the shipment is not 'realised' — and RoDTEP, GST refund and RBI export-realisation follow-ups can stall behind it.

ExportCRM's compliance dashboard lists every shipment that is still waiting for its BRC, next to the other deadlines that cost exporters money: shipping bills not yet filed, deliveries overdue or due in the next 7 days, and incentives receivable from the government. Each number links to the orders behind it.

The problem

Why export deadlines slip

BRC status is checked only when something breaks

Realisation is looked at when a refund is stuck — by then the delay is weeks old.

Deadlines live in different places

Delivery dates are in the order book, filing status with the CHA, BRCs at the bank — nobody sees them together.

Refunds are not followed up

Tax refunds, Drawback and RoDTEP due from the government are earned, then forgotten until the year-end.

Overdue deliveries surprise you

A buyer complains before the team notices that the delivery date has already passed.

The solution

Every export deadline on one screen

BRC realisation pending

Every shipping bill still waiting for its BRC/eBRC, so realisation is chased while it is fresh.

Shipping bills not filed

Orders whose shipping bill has not yet been filed, flagged before they hold up dispatch.

Deliveries overdue & due in 7 days

Overdue orders and those due this week, so the team acts before the buyer asks.

Government receivables

Tax refunds, Duty Drawback and RoDTEP/RoSCTL still receivable, totalled on the dashboard.

Working-capital view

Government receivables, buyer collections pending and supplier dues side by side.

Status chips at a glance

The dashboard header shows how many deadlines are overdue or pending the moment you log in.

How it works

From shipment to closed file

1

Ship the order

Shipping bill, invoice and delivery date are recorded on the order as usual.

2

Watch what is pending

The dashboard shows BRCs, filings, deliveries and incentives still open against each order.

3

Close it out

Mark the BRC realised and the incentive received — the order's file is complete and its profit final.

Why BRC realisation is the deadline that unlocks the rest

Under RBI rules, export proceeds have to be realised within the prescribed period, and the eBRC generated from your bank's data is the record that they were. Several benefits lean on that record: realisation data supports RoDTEP and other scheme claims, and an unrealised shipping bill can lead to follow-ups from your AD bank. A BRC that is late is therefore rarely just a paperwork issue — it is money on hold.

ExportCRM treats realisation as part of the order's life, not an afterthought. Pending BRCs are counted on the dashboard with the shipping bills, deliveries and incentives that are also still open, so an export manager can see the whole compliance position in one look and chase the oldest items first. Always confirm current realisation periods and eBRC procedure on the DGFT and RBI sites.

Frequently asked questions

What is a BRC in export?

A Bank Realisation Certificate (BRC) is the record that the payment for an export shipment has been received in India. Today it is generated electronically as an eBRC on the DGFT system from data your bank reports.

What does ExportCRM track for BRC?

It lists every shipped order whose BRC realisation is still pending, so your team can follow up with the buyer and bank before it delays refunds or schemes.

Which other deadlines are on the dashboard?

Shipping bills not yet filed, deliveries overdue, deliveries due in the next 7 days, and government incentives receivable — tax refund, Duty Drawback and RoDTEP/RoSCTL.

Does ExportCRM generate the eBRC?

No. eBRCs are generated on the DGFT system from bank data. ExportCRM tracks which shipments are still waiting for one so nothing is missed.
